There is no long-term contract involved, just a "handshake agreement" that if the retailer is achieving the desired results, they will want to continue the relationship.  Most of John's new clients are referrals from satisfied clients.  Establishing and helping to achieve new benchmarks John pledges his best effort to bring similar results to other fine retail organizations.  This gives his clients a roadmap to even greater success.

January 2003 - Present - John formed The A Circle Inc. to consult to retail clients from Coast to Coast.  However, unlike his "former employer", The A Circle takes a more holistic approach to solving the problems most retailers have.  John did not want just to consult to his clients with only his perspective and "tunnel vision".  He sought out, found and affiliated himself with a company, Management One.  John was committed to an improved planning process, which he gained from his affiliation with Management One.  He also deemed it of equal importance, to find a company whose principals and principles mirrored his own high standards.  Today, we no longer just look at merchandising performance.  The company works with clients on: Successful Retail Openings (SRO), through the Winning at Business process, it looks at the retailers 2 greatest assets; Inventory & People.  John works with clients to strategically implement "tried and true" day-to-day  successful business practices to help the retailer in all aspects of his or her business.

September 1984 - January 2003 - John worked as a Merchandise Analyst for Retail Merchandising Service Automation (RMSA). He built a practice through hard work and persistence.  John became Regional Director in 1994.  He brought in other Merchandising Analysts and nutured them in developing their own clients.  John headed the Field Advisory Board (FAB)  and worked with management to grow the company.  John was in the Presidents Club (Top Producers) 5 years in a row.  Then, due to a change in ownership, new management came in.  The new ownership has a different philosophy about their clients and their business.  This new ownership's philosophy and morals differed significantly from John's.  After 19 years John made the difficult decision to end his relationship with the current RMSA and resigned.    

Since 1984 he has helped manage over $20 million a year in inventory investments for a wide range of retailers.

1975 - 1982 Spent his entire life as a businessman and retailer.  Worked in and grew the family business

Education - 1975 graduate of West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV.  Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (emphasis on Management & Marketing).
